Christopher Emery tried to carry out his threat to ruin the life of his former partner by resurrecting old naked pictures and video of her and sending them to her employers. A court heard the woman was left shocked and distressed when the school asked her to get in touch urgently and told her what Emery had done. Despite having participated in the swinging activity himself, he also posted "self-righteous" messages encouraging parents to complain to the school. Emery, 29, of Wellbank Road, Washington , pleaded guilty to disclosing private sexual pictures and film with intent to cause distress - which a judge said is often referred to as revenge porn - as well as sending offensive messages and criminal damage. Newcastle Crown Court the woman had worked hard to qualify as a teacher but Emery's attitude to her changed after she did so, partly fuelled by his depression and work problems. Matthew Collins, prosecuting, said at the end of last year he sent messages "ranging from angry to upset".
